Imran Khan On Raising Daughter Imara, After Divorce With Ex-Wife Avantika Malik; Actor Reveals, ‘I Do All The Stuff Without Any Nanny’
Actor and filmmaker Imran Khan is all set to make his Bollywood comeback with Happy Patel, a comedy caper directed by his Delhi Belly co-star Vir Das. He will be making his return to the big screen after being on a sabbatical for 10 years. In the past few months, he has been opening up about his professional and personal experiences. His revelations have fans eager to know more about his life. While going through a depressive phase in his career, he also separated from his ex-wife Avantika Malik in 2019. They have been co-parenting their 10-year-old daughter ever since their divorce.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he opened up about his life again and spoke about how he and Avantika co-parent their daughter. He revealed that the 10-year-old stays with him from Thursday through Sunday. He takes care of her without any help from a domestic help. From picking her up from school to cooking food he does it all. Quoted by Bollywood Life, he added, “I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. The 41-year-old actor went on to add that he does this consciously “rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I'm depressed.” The actor is reportedly in a live-in relationship with his girlfriend Lekha Washington. Dismissing the claims of Lekha being a homewrecker, he had stated, in an earlier interview, “There’s this narrative of Lekha being a homewrecker, which infuriates me because not only is it misogynistic, but it also takes away my agency as an individual. For the unversed, On the work front, Imran has acted in credible movies like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, I Hate Love Stories, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. Last seen as an actor in Katti Batti alongside Kangana Ranaut, he made his directorial debut in 2018 with the short film Mission Mars: Keep Walking India.
